Movement as Medicine (AZ workshop)

  • Prescott Arizona 322 West Gurley Street Prescott, AZ, 86301 United States (map)

Human wellbeing is a function of adaptability. Our capacity to thrive within the changing circumstances of our life depends on healthy movement of body and emotions.

In this one-day workshop, we will explore evidence-based practices that have been shown to reduce pain, elevate mood, and greatly enhance wellbeing on all levels. Inspired by ideas and techniques used in yoga, qigong, somatic therapy and meditation, we will explore the art of self-healing and self-care through mindful movement, self-massage, partner play, and somatic awareness training.

Students will gain an empowering set of practical life-tools that support long-term health and happiness.

Class includes lecture, movement, partner play, and handouts.

Free for Prescott College Students. Thanks to Student Union Board! PC Students please call or text 602-717-2735 to register.
